I just finished watching The Washington Post's Children and Family Summit 2013 and the discussion of education and our children. Secretary Arne Duncan states that less than 3 in 10 children have access to high quality pre-school today. Only 8% of the federal budget goes to education, yet the babies of today will be our leaders tomorrow. One of the people on the panel (from Parent Magazine) was asking "what about 6 month olds, 1 month olds?" What is the best way to get your baby ready for the future? Quality time interacting starting at ages 0 to 3. Turn off the TV/DVDs and turn up the literacy!
